Ronald Jack Rappoport

AIKEN, SC - Ronald Jack Rappoport (85) of Aiken, SC, beloved husband for nearly 39 years to Froggie Rappoport, entered the gates of heaven on March 1, 2018. He was born in Cincinnati, OH, on March 21, 1932 to Richard A. and Irene (McBride) Rappoport. He is survived by six children: Richard (Christy) Rappoport; Patricia (Richmond) Townsend; Deborah (Dale) Townsend; Kimberly (Brisco) Harward; Teresa (Mark) Sullivan; Robert (Judith Nicholson) Rappoport; 15 grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren. Ron was a graduate of Xavier University and served in the US Army from 1954 - 1956. He was a CPA and partner at EY (formerly Ernst & Ernst), serving in the Cincinnati, Buffalo and Washington D.C. offices, where in later years he established the firm’s Litigation Support practice. He retired from EY in 1988 after 32 years. After retirement Ron and Frog moved to Hilton Head SC where Ron volunteered with the Beaufort County Sheriff’s Office. In 2000 they moved to Aiken SC where he volunteered at Aiken Regional Medical Center. A talented painter in retirement, Ron supported many local charities with gifts of his art for auctions and raffles. A private memorial service will be held for family at a later date.
