Ruth Bruckner Casper

Mrs. Ruth B. Casper, 88, beloved wife of James R. Casper passed away Sunday, October 2, 2022 at her residence in Aiken, SC. She was surrounded by her family. Ruth was born on February 25, 1934 in Washington, Pennsylvania to Myrtle and Joseph Bruckner and she was one of nine children. She has one surviving brother Sam Bruckner of Lancaster, SC. Ruth met her husband, James, in Miami Florida. They then moved to Michigan and were married in 1961. She worked as a nurse’s aide all while raising seven children. Ruth was a devoted wife and mother. Family was everything to her. Ruth is preceded in death by her parents, 7 siblings, and one grandchild. She is survived by her brother Sam, husband James, seven children, Bill Clemens (Phillis), Bob Clemens (Jan), Brenda Roy (Larry), James Casper, Joe Casper (Sherry), John Casper (Marla), Dan Casper (Ann), fourteen grandchildren, and ten great-grandchildren. A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, October 4, 2022 at Shellhouse-Rivers Funeral Home, 715 East Pine Log Road Aiken SC.
