Sara Boatwright Moyer

AIKEN, SC – Mrs. Sara Boatwright Moyer, 74, beloved wife of Eugene “Gene” Unger Moyer, passed away peacefully, Tuesday, August 28, 2018 at her residence.   Born in Ridge Spring, SC, Sara was a daughter of the late Ralph and Frances Grice Boatwright. After graduating high school, Sara attended Brevard College in Brevard, NC and went on to pursue a career in retail sales. She worked as a sales consultant for Belks, Julias, The Loft and most recently, Affordables Apparel. Sara was a member of St. James Lutheran Church in Graniteville, SC.   In addition to her husband of 53 years, Sara is survived by her three sons, Michael (Michelle) Moyer, Ridge Spring, SC, Brian Moyer, Edgefield, SC, Ralph “Benjie” (Patty) Moyer, Aiken, SC; six grandchildren; one sister, Ellen (Gary) Horn, Elgin, SC; three brothers, Clifford (Joan) Boatwright, Birmingham, AL, Ralph “Nick” (Betty) Boatwright, Clemson, SC and John (Kandy) Boatwright, Aiken, SC.   She was preceded in death by her daughter, Tracey Lynn Moyer.   A memorial service will be held 11:00 AM Friday, August 31, 2018 at St. James Lutheran Church, Graniteville with Rev. Barry Antley officiating.
