Sarah Rebecca Bursey

AIKEN - Sarah Bursey, 30, was in a single motor vehicle accident. She fought for eleven days and succumbed to her injuries on October 20, 2018 at 2:25pm.Sarah lit up the room with her kindness, her heart, her wit, and her love. Sarah was a daughter to Ronald and Susan Bursey, a twin sister to Christopher, a caring family member, a loving girlfriend, and a friend to many. We will miss her every day and carry her with us always.Sarah previously resided in Westminster, Maryland and graduated from Winters Mill High School. She went on to obtain a bachelor’s degree from Bridgewater College and a master’s degree from American University. She had a heart for people, animals, and especially the elderly.In her short time here on earth, Sarah touched many lives. As an organ donor, Sarah will live on through her recipients. We will see her in those that she was able to help, and we will look for her smile in those that we pass on the street. The celebration of life gathering will be held Saturday, October 27th from 2 until 5 PM at Shellhouse Funeral Home. The family will greet friends during this time.
