Shirley Ann Rueger

AIKEN, SC - SHIRLEY ANN RUEGER, 92, widow of Walter A. “Kelly” Rueger, passed away Thursday morning, February 23, 2023 in her home surrounded by her loving family.

A native of Harbor Beach, MI, Shirley was a daughter of the late Albert and Margaret Gerstenschlager Krueger.  She married Kelly Rueger on August 16, 1952, and moved to Sebewaing, MI where she lived most of her adult life.  After Kelly’s death she moved back to Harbor Beach in 1994.  She lived with her daughter since 2016.  Shirley loved puzzles and spending time with her family.

Survivors include her daughter, Deborah Briggs (Randy), Aiken, SC; son, David Rueger (LeeAnn), Pigeon, MI; daughter-in-law, Linda Rueger, Bay City, MI; grandchildren, Jayson Androl (Edith), Jamie Androl (Gina), Marcie Rueger, Kelli Dressler (Eric), Stacey Buehrly (Scott), Tiffany Rueger; great-grandchildren, Tiffany Androl, Antonio Cordova, Tyler Androl (Tessa), Mia Culbertson, Luka Culbertson, Brayden Buehrly; a great-great-granddaughter, Kinzley Androl; a sister, Lorraine Larson, Harbor Beach, MI.

In addition to her beloved husband and parents, Shirley was preceded in death by a son, Wayne Rueger; siblings, Raymond Krueger, Helen Reinke, LeRoy Krueger and great-grandson, Lucas Androl.

Interment will be in St. John’s Lutheran Cemetery in Sebewaing, MI.
