STANLEY FRANKLIN GOODMAN, 94, passed away Monday, January 6, 2025 in Anchor Post Acute Care.

A native of Lancaster, PA, Stan was the only child of the late Robert and Anne Davidson Goodman. Stan made Aiken his home in 1953 where he and his late wife, Joan (passed in Oct 2024 after 73 years of marriage) lived for 54 years before moving back to Lancaster, Pennsylvania where they made many new friends. 

They returned to Aiken in 2021 where they reconnected with many old friends. Stan was an Amateur Radio Operator and was known by the call sign K4GXJ. He was formerly a charter boat captain in his late teens and early twenties in the summers while going to high school and Penn State University where he graduated with a Mechanical Engineering Degree. He enjoyed supporting Rotary Groups both in Aiken and in Lancaster. He spent many years enjoying/supporting the annual Aiken Heart Show as a member of the set builder team. Stan was an avid member of the local Power Squadron and enjoyed teaching Marine Electronics. 

Stan spent his entire working career working for Dupont supporting the start up and processing at SRS.

Stan was known for his honesty, problem solving abilities and love for boating, off shore fishing and helping others.

Survivors include his daughter, Bobbi Kooyman (Milt), Aiken: his son, Mark Goodman (Dawn), Simpsonville: four grandchildren, Christopher, Holly, Jillian, Mark Luke; six great-grandchildren. In addition to his parents and his wife, he was preceded in death by a grandson, Jacob.
