Stanley Mark Gossard

STANLEY "STAN" MARK GOSSARD, 77, husband of the late Terry Gossard, passed away Thursday, January 9, 2025, in Aiken Regional Medical Centers.

A native of Mankato, MN, Stan was the son of the late Stan and Lorna Gossard. He had a background and training in technical theater. He used these skills to design and set up the displays at various trade shows for Dixie-Narco. He enjoyed doing karate, especially Tai-Chi, with his daughter Meegian and held a black belt for many years. His favorite pastime was reading a good book. Stan was a member of Trinity United Methodist Church for almost 30 years. He served Trinity UMC in many capacities and was thrilled to use his theater background to serve the church as "Mr. Stan, the sound guy" for about 25 years. He especially loved working with the church choir and the preschool programs. 

He is survived by his daughter, The Rev. Meegian Alicia Gossard, Columbia, SC, and his nieces and nephews. 

A Memorial Service Celebrating Stan’s Life will be held Friday, January 31st, at Noon at Trinity United Methodist Church with The Revs. Matthew Alexander and Dr. Donnie Bates officiating.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be directed to Trinity UMC Preschool or Trinity UMC, 2724 Whiskey Rd., Aiken, SC 29803.
