Stanley Eugene Moseley, 76, was born September 2, 1942 in Aiken, SC., and passed away March 6, 2019 in Las Vegas, NV. Stanley was the son of the late Henry Platt and Marie Harsey Moseley. Following in his older brothers’ footsteps, Stanley enlisted in the United States Army National Guard the day after receiving his Diploma from Aiken High School. After the completion of his service, Stanley and his brother Thomas Moseley, traveled to Las Vegas to work in Nuclear Weapons Testing at the Nevada Test Site. In 1978, he became Governor of the Las Vegas Moose Lodge where he met Gladys Joanne (Barry) Moseley. They married in 1979 and had a daughter, Jamie Marie (Moseley) Bordinhao. As a family, they loved spending their weekends hosting barbecues, camping, fishing and attending Moose Lodge festivities. Stanley was well known for barbecuing “the best ribs in town.” Although, they divorced in 1992 they remained great friends. In 1995, Stanley met and married Edith (Baker) Moseley. He retired from the Nevada Test Site in 1997, after suffering from work related illnesses. Edith retired shortly after to stay home and care for her husband. Stanley and Edith celebrated their 24th wedding anniversary on January 12, 2019. Stanley is preceded in death by his parents, sister; Mildred Virginia, brothers; Henry Jr., Julian “Buzzy”, and Thomas, and his former wife Gladys J. Moseley. Stanley is survived by his wife, Edith Moseley, daughter, Jamie Bordinhao, and her three children Isabella Rose, Maddix, And Steven; sister Patty Moseley Brown and many special nieces, nephews and cousins. The family will receive friends from 12:00-1:00 PM, and the funeral service will follow at 1:00 PM on Saturday, March 23, 2019, at Levels Baptist Church with the Reverend Clint Bartlett officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery with military honors. Pallbearers will be Patrick Folk, Jim Folk, Mike Moseley, Dusty Moseley, Keith Moseley, and Collin Morris. Honorary pallbearers will be David Moseley, Neal Glover, Mike Taylor, and Allan Sturkie.
