Aiken, SC - STEPHANIE DUSICK GROSSMAN, 73, born October 7,1949, passed away peacefully, surrounded by family, on October 3, 2023, where she is now in Heaven with her Lord and Savior.
Stephanie was born in Bridgeport, Connecticut, the second of four daughters of the late Stephen John and Edith Ann Farkas Dusick. She attended Bay Path Junior College and graduated from the University of Bridgeport. She loved teaching and taught English and History for almost 30 years. After moving to Aiken, she continued teaching as a substitute for eight more years. She was liked and respected by her colleagues and made a difference in the lives of so many of her students. In addition to teaching, she loved gardening, painting, quiet music, art, fashion, history, travel and worship. She loved spending time and vacationing with her children and grandchildren. She was active in the Messianic Jewish movement, attended Congregation Simchat Yisrael, in West Haven, CT and prepared many beautiful services for Congregation Avinu Malkeinu, in Langley, SC.
She is survived by her beloved husband and best friend Jed Steven Grossman, to whom she was married for 53 wonderful years; her daughter Sarah (Jason) Grossman Jerose, of Forest, Virginia; son Adam Grossman, of Aiken; grandchildren Anna and Isaac Jerose; sisters Virginia (Ginny) Dusick Rafferty, of Aiken; Gloria (Bob) Dusick Freel, of Menifee, California; Dr. Diane (Mary) Dusick, of Aiken; nieces Karen (Thomas) Rafferty Keighley, of Norfolk, Mass; Dorie (Seth) Ruffkess Cohen, of Naples, FL; Wendy Ruffkess Hulbert, of Vernon, CT; and sister-in-law Jill Grossman Ruffkess Stoner, of West Hartford, CT. She will be sorely missed by all. Her positivity, love and smile live on.
A Celebration of the Life of Stephanie Grossman will be held on Saturday, October 21, 2023, from 12-3 pm., at The Reserve Club at Woodside Plantation, in Aiken, SC 29803.
