TERRELL G. “T. G.” ROBERTS, 90, beloved husband of Eloise Landers Roberts, passed away Sunday afternoon, May 21, 2023 in his home, surrounded by his loving family.
A native of Walnut, NC, Terrell was a son of the late Tommy Walden and Wanda Mae Davis Roberts. He moved to Aiken in 1954 and worked for DuPont at the Savannah River Plant and retired from Westinghouse in 1992. He was a charter member of Corinth Baptist Church in New Ellenton where he formerly served as a deacon and church treasurer. He loved to garden, work in his yard and spend time in the mountains.
Survivors, in addition to his wife of 70 years, Eloise, include three children, Gary Michael Roberts (Rhonda), James H. “Red” Roberts (Teresa) and Annette Summer (Vernon), all of Aiken; grandchildren, Michael Roberts, Christy Clemmer, Cady Roberts, Whitney Spinks, Cam Summer; great-grandchildren, Adeline and Lillie Clemmer, Ethan Roberts, Madison Cooney, Skylar Patterson, Hunter Eddington, Odin Ramsey, Rylan Spinks, Abbi Roberts, Douggie Roberts; Tyler’s fiancée, Rhonda Miles; his siblings, Cline Roberts, Etowah, NC, Bruce Roberts, Woodfin, NC, Tim Roberts, Robbinsville, NC and Brenda McMullen, Etowah, NC. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his grandson, Tyler Roberts and brother, William Roberts.
The family will receive friends Friday afternoon, May 26th beginning at 3 o’clock at Shellhouse – Rivers Funeral Home. The funeral service will follow at 4 o’clock with The Rev. Jason Redd officiating. Interment will be in Corinth Baptist Church Cemetery.
