AIKEN, SC - Timothy W. Catchpole passed away on September 9, 2022. Tim was born to Thomas and Mary Catchpole in Glen Cove, NY on November 8, 1950. He is survived by his wife Valli Todd Catchpole and his children, Caroline Catchpole Spradlin (Kollan), Tampa, FL., Matthew Todd Catchpole, Aiken, SC and Lance W. Catchpole (Hope), Prosper, TX. and grandchildren Pierson, Kendal, Victoria and Nicole. He is also survived by two brothers, David and Philip (Nancy) and a sister Joy Murray (Bob). Tim liked to say he was “born, raised and educated in NY”, but after marrying his wife Valli, he discovered that the south is where he belonged. He was an avid Auburn fan and loved cheering for the Tigers. He also loved the game of golf, both playing it and watching it. But mostly he loved the gatherings with friends, enjoying great food, and listening to his favorite music. A graduate of Adelphi University, he enjoyed a successful professional career of over 40 years in the nuclear industry. Of all of his many accomplishments, he was proudest of instilling in his children his strong work ethic and commitment to family. Per the wishes of the family, there will be no public memorial service at this time. A private celebration will be held for family and close friends at a time in the future. Anyone wishing to make a donation in his honor is asked to donate to the charity of their choice. SHELLHOUSE-RIVERS FUNERAL HOME, INC., 715 E. PINE LOG RD., AIKEN, SC 29803
