Tyler Douglas Roberts

AIKEN, SC – TYLER DOUGLAS ROBERTS, 29, died Saturday, November 17, 2018 at Carolina Healthcare System, Pineville, NC.

A native of Aiken, Tyler grew up in Aiken and attended South Aiken High School.  He was baptized at Palmetto Bible Camp as a young boy and was a member of Aiken Church of Christ.  He was a loving father and uncle and was an awesome brother “most of the time”.  Tyler loved deer hunting and was an avid Carolina Gamecocks fan.  He especially enjoyed going to Sage Valley in the late afternoons with his dad to hear “Amazing Grace” played on the bagpipes.  Tyler was an organ donor and because of this generous gift has helped save the lives of six people.

Survivors include his mother, Mary Jane Pressnell, Sharon, SC; fathers, James H. “Red” Roberts (Teresa), Aiken, Dennis Brooks, Rock Hill; fiancé, Rhonda Miles, Sharon, SC; children, Abbigail Jane Roberts and Miles Douglas Roberts; sisters, Whitney Jane Roberts, York, SC, April Bridges (Michael), Greenville, SC, Ashley Raymond (Michael), Greenville, SC; brothers, Jason Brooks (Marna), North Augusta, Justin Brooks (Tina), Travelers Rest, SC; paternal grandparents, Terrell G. and Eloise Roberts, Aiken; maternal grandmother, Edith Pressnell, New Ellenton; paternal grandmother, Ann Turner, Rock Hill ; a number of nieces and nephews.  He was preceded in death by his maternal grandfather, Douglas Pressnell; paternal grandfather, Hayward Brooks.

The family will receive friends Saturday, November 24^th beginning at noon at Aiken Church of Christ.  The funeral service will follow at 1 o’clock at the church.  Interment will follow in Southlawn Cemetery.  Pallbearers will be Troy Pressnell, Joseph Pressnell, Tim Pressnell, Blake Brooks, Ashton Nguyen, Ryan Murphy, Mike Garvin, Jarrett Cartin and Addison Brown.
