AIKEN, SC - Wendy E. Dimmick, 65, died Tuesday, September 13, 2022, at Augusta University Hospital following a brief hospitalization.
Wendy was born in Plainfield, New Jersey and grew up in Sparta, New Jersey before moving to Arnold, Maryland and eventually Aiken, South Carolina. She has resided in Aiken for the past 31 years. Wendy graduated from Sparta High School and worked as a secretary and administrative assistant before starting a family. During her homemaking years, Wendy was a volunteer first-grade teacher’s assistant and helped with administrative duties for several youth soccer teams in Aiken. She loved sewing, puppy dogs, her friends and especially her family.
The daughter of the late Albert and Ethel Lehmkuhl, Wendy was predeceased by her brothers Robert Lehmkuhl and Edward Lehmkuhl. She is survived by two brothers, Carl Lehmkuhl and David Lehmkuhl both of Sparta, NJ; her husband, David Dimmick; three children, Scott Dimmick of Greenville, SC; Sean Dimmick of Denver, CO; Katherine Dimmick and two grandchildren Skyler and Cullen of Aiken, SC.
A memorial service will be held at South Aiken Presbyterian Church at 11:00 A.M., Saturday, October 8, 2022. Reception to follow.
