AIKEN, SC – Rev. William T. Moss, 77, Church of God ordained Bishop, beloved husband of Sheila J. Moss for 58 years, passed away Saturday, December 15, 2018. In addition to his wife, he is survived by daughters, Dana (Tim) Henion, Lyman, SC, Lorrie (Rev. John) Tyson, Ware Shoals, SC, Jennifer (Charles) Druelle, Aiken, Tessa (Rev. Deryk) Morgan, Clinton, SC; six grandchildren who had the “best Papa ever”, Rachel Norris, Brooks Norris, Sera Druelle, Logan Hawthorne, Michael Hawthorne, Carra Tyson, Collin Druelle, Christian Druelle; three great grandchildren; Haiden Rautio, Abigail Norris, Brooklyn Norris and one brother, Samuel Moss, Bristol, TN. He was preceded in death by his parents; a sister, Kathy Malone and brothers, Roy, Jerry and Phillip. Rev. Moss pastored churches in Spartanburg, SC and New Ellenton. He was Pastor to Senior Adults at Mercy Church, Aiken. Before his illness he loved playing guitar with the band fondly called the “Good Ole Boys”. Rev. Moss’s greatest love was the work his Lord had called him to do. He loved people and “never met a stranger”. Rev. Moss was an avid fisher and enjoyed high school football. Funeral services will be held 2:00 PM Tuesday, December 18, 2018 at Mercy Church, 2700 Whiskey Rd., Aiken, SC 29803 with The Reverends Kenneth Murphy, Todd Wilson and Bruce Fox officiating. The family will receive friends at the church at 12:00 PM. Interment will follow in Historic Bethany Cemetery.
