Yvonne "Skeet" Brunson

AIKEN, SC – YVONNE “SKEET” HANKINSON BRUNSON, 68, died Saturday, January 4, 2020 at Aiken Regional Medical Centers.

     A native of Aiken County, Skeet was a daughter of the late Harvey Hankinson and Margaret Berry Kneece. 

     Witty, funny, mean, beautiful, giving, one of a kind, stingy, loved and talked about family all the time, talented, could sew anything, full of praise, sharp tongue, help you out in a pinch, dirty card player, do anything for you, big mouth, big heart, always had great glasses, excellent cook, hell on heels and wheels, Gamecock loving, tell it like it is, politically incorrect, larger than life attitude sums up Skeet Brunson.  She was a legend and will be missed dearly.

     Survivors include her daughter, Brandy Semko (Mike), Aiken; her son, Sean Power (Davina), Warrenville; grandchildren, Hannah Elizabeth Dyches, Farrah Elaine Dyches, Eloise Rose Semko, Ethan Ridge Power; sisters, Faye Golding (Dave), Aiken, Sheryl Lundblade (Dennis), Aiken, Karen Mazzola, Aiken, Geanie Pennington (John), Sautee, GA, Mary Barker, Aiken; several cousins, Donnie Waters, Cathy Sizemore, Brian Kneece,  including Angela “Sissy” Waters who was more like a sister. 

     In addition to her parents, Skeet was preceded in death by her brother, James Harvey “Bubba” Hankinson and step-father, Charles D. Kneece.

     A Celebration of Skeet’s Life will be Saturday afternoon, January 11^th at 1 o’clock at Shellhouse – Rivers Funeral Home.

     A special thank you is extended to Dr. David Allen for his care and friendship over these last months.
