Aiken - Jennifer Christine Lloyd came into this world on April 20, 1982 as a 9 lb 13-3/4 oz baby girl. Her parents Diane Barnes and Chris Lloyd couldn't have been prouder of their beautiful daughter.
She was a gifted conversationalist and enjoyed discussing many topics. She was intuitive, a little mischievous and loved a good prank. Jennifer's faith was very important to her. She knew Jesus Christ was her Lord and Saviour. Her mother treasures the special conversations they had about faith 2 weeks before Jennifer went to the hospital. She was empathetic and caring, and Jennifer would drop whatever she was doing to help a friend in need. Jennifer's friends and family knew they could count on her. Her smile was radiant and she shared it with everyone. She never met a stranger.
Jennifer loved ALL animals and through the years had many pets. She leaves behind her cat, Squeaks, whom she bottle-fed because she was the runt of the litter. She had a great sense of adventure and theme parks. The higher the roller coaster, the happier she was. Jennifer loved ghost stories and watching horror movies with her sister. Kari.
She loved to fish at the Cofer family pond and finally figured out when her dad asked her to hold his fishing pole because he needed to do something else, there was already a fish on the line.
She was a founding member of Girl Scout & Brownie Troop #347 and enjoyed the friends she made through being a scout. - She participated in basketball camp at USC-Aiken where she perfected her jump shot and during her last year at camp won the "Most Improved" trophy. Her mother was so proud the day Jennifer rushed home to tell her she chose the same uniform number her mom wore in high school. Jennifer attended S. Aiken Baptist Christian School, Kennedy Middle School and South Aiken High School. She graduated in 1999 with honors. After high school she enrolled at USC-AIKEN and started courses toward becoming a schoolteacher. Things happened in her life and she had to withdraw. She was never able to return to college, but it was on her bucket list.
Jennifer's best friend was her sister, Kari Danielle Johnson. From the day Jennifer was born Kari took her job of being a big sister very seriously. When visiting the hospital nursery, Kari would block the view of anyone looking at the babies and promptly let them know that they couldn't choose that baby, she had already been chosen. They were the best of friends. There was always a tight bond between them that grew in love every day.
Jennifer's greatest pride and joy was her 3 children, Taylor Atkinson of Augusta, GA, Trent Young and Alexis Young, both of Aiken. She loved them and always wanted the best for them. They enjoyed numerous fun times together. From season tickets for Six Flags, to Legoland, Great Wolf Lodge, boat rides in PopPop Lloyd's boat, the beach, Disney World and others.
Her parents Diane Cofer Barnes and Christopher Roma Lloyd loved their beautiful daughter immensely and she will live in their hearts until they see each other again.
Jennifer was predeceased by her Maternal Grandparents, Charles (Charlie) and Juanita Cofer of Louisville, GA and her paternal grandparents Jim and Barbara Lloyd of Aiken, SC.
