AIKEN, SC - Pamala Thompson, devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother passed away on Thursday, October, 6, 2022 at home.
Pam Thompson was an incredibly strong, successful woman who possessed an unwavering love for her family, along with her steadfast belief in hard work, faith and values.
Pam was proud to have been born in Corpus Christi, Texas, to her beloved parents Marie and Richard J. Nelson, Jr. (Mugsy). Pam loved to tell stories of her life growing up around cattle ranches in Texas, riding horses bareback, hair flying in the wind, as a little girl.
On October 22, 1976, Pam married the love of her life, Mark Thompson. Pam and Mark were true life partners in every sense. They shared their love with family, a host of dogs, horses, clients and friends along the way. Pam and Mark challenged each other every day, and together they enjoyed a life full of spice, laughter, energy and love.
Pam enjoyed a 42+ year career in real estate as a highly successful broker in the Bay area of California, Lake Tahoe, Nevada, Aiken, South Carolina, the Blue Ridge Mountains of Georgia and North Carolina. Pam treated her clients as family, displaying a fierce loyalty and tenacious drive, always obtaining the best outcome for her clients.
Pam eventually combined her love of family and her passion for her work as a successful independent real estate broker by creating the Best Life Aiken Team, a group of Realtors made up of her family, with whom she worked every day. Along with her husband Mark, her daughter, Michelle, was the light of her life, along with her granddaughter Stephanie and grandson Jacob, who filled Pam with a pride that shone out of her like sunshine.
Pam adored her adopted hometown of Aiken, South Carolina, as well as spending time surrounded by family at her mountain home in Lake Chatuge, North Carolina. Going to brunch, floating on the lake, playing Bunco with friends, sitting with her favorite dog on her lap... Pam's best life always included her family and friends.
Pam is survived by her husband Mark, daughter Michelle Adams (Michael), grandchildren Jacob Klarman (Kayla), Stephanie Johnson (Cullen), Bailey Adams, and Jetta Adams, brother Richard Nelson III (Lisa) , great grandchildren Landon, Rylann, Bowen and Weston.
